Avoid Being a “Palms Up" Player

Whether it is a call made by the referee or a decision your coach made, outwardly questioning a call, or openly confronting in the heat of the moment never shows well to college coaches.

Referees may not always make a call you agree with, but they are there to do their job: keeping the game safe and fair. Show the referees respect and take any call with poise. Likewise, your coach is employing the best strategy for the whole team, if you get subbed off, showing frustration and acting out is a big red flag to any evaluators watching.

Always stay in the moment of play, let negative calls or plays roll off your back, and keep up a positive mindset!
